MODEST DESTINATIONS AROUND THE WORLD
Posted on 20 April 2016
Turkey is very high on the list of favourite holiday destinations, both for Muslims and non-Muslims. They know what service is! It has so much to offer during your vacation. Nature lovers will have plenty to see and families with children will enjoy themselves on the beach or can relax at a private pool. Even the culture addict will be at the right place in Turkey.
Finding a beautiful and familiy proof hotel isn’t rocket science in Turkey, there are plenty! Lets start with discovering the largest city of Turkey: Istanbul.
This beautiful diverse city is on the border of two continents. You can eat a turkish pizza in Europe the one minute and the other have a cup of Turkish tea in Asia. All you have to do is cross the Bosphorus. This can be done in three ways: underground through a tunnel, using one of the two bridges or you can go by a ferry. Did I just really type Bosphorus? Yes I did.
The Bosphorus is a strait that connects the Black Sea and the Marmara Sea. It divides the city of Istanbul in two. Another big bonus in Istanbul, besides the diverse activities and natural environments, is obviously the food! I mean: their food gives me life.
Look at these delicious plates and lets have a moment of silence for appreciation:
Lazistanbul is a muslim owned restaurant with 100% halal food.
I dont think I need to convince you how delicious the food is in Istanbul but ok, one more. Last but not least: restaurant: Çiya Sofrası.
Next stop: Antalya!
This city is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Turkey. This city is soo beautiful and diverse that you need few weeks to see and do everyting. Here are 5 top things you should see in Antalya:
1. Kaleiçi, the historic center of the city of Antalya.
2. The Düden Waterfalls.
3. The most famous mosque in Antalya: Yivli Minare Moskque, this is also the symbol of the city.
4. The most beautiful beach of Antalya: Konyaalti beach.
5. Karaalioğlu Park, this is the green hart of the city Antalya.
The commited Nesci followers know that we are often in Izmir. And we lovee it!
Izmir is a metropolitan city in the west of Turkey and it’s a city with a lot of histroy that is shown.
We often have chilled in Kordonboyu, the area where you can walk kilometers along the water and enjoy sunset in one of the cafes or fine restaurant where they are specialize in fish.
Enjoy your day in Izmir by walking thourgh the city seeing beautiful old artchitecture and walking in nice shops where you can experience the real culture of Turkey.
Oh and btw: Meet local people! Basic English is spoken all over the world, so it’s easier to communicate with local people than you think. And you can always combine hand gestures and body language, everybody understands a lovely smile!
"Learn from those who live in the country you’re visiting. People with other cultures and habits enrich you! “If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion, and avoid the people, you might better stay home.”
