Our daily time secrets at Nesci
Posted on 08 March 2016
Our days are an organised mess. We go from place to place, meeting to meeting, one subject to another and for an outsider it looks like we're trying to juggle with too many balls. But the past year we have become experts when it comes to time management. Time to share our three best tips.
Organisation is key. The secret of your future is hidden in your daily routine. Decide what you find important and put that in your morning and evening routine. For example, if you know about yourself that you need at least 8 hours of sleep, and waking up in a clean room makes you wake up happier, than schedule time in your evening-routine to re-organize your room/bag/agenda. "A woman with organizing skills can run a construction company without ever picking up a hammer and nail."
Small tasks lead to bigger accomplishments. Keep in mind that the small steps you make really do matter. Take care of the minutes and the hours will take care of themselves. It's okay to go slow, as long as you keep moving.
Our daily agenda and our ‘book’ determine our last secret of success. Make a clear distinction between your agenda and notebook. Your agenda is where you put your appointments; your 'book' is where everything else goes. Every single one of us has her 'book' and uses it in a different way. Nobody will understand your book, except for you. Fill it up with thoughts, sketches, to do lists, contacts, planning; whatever you need to get to your goals. The biggest lie we tell ourselves is "oh, I'll remember it!" So, love your book, marry your book, build your life around that book and don't forget to mention it when you're winning an award because of it.
